DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Unsigned Iowa 946 begins at the east corporation line of Luana and travels easterly to the west corporation line of Monona; beginning again on the south corporation line of Monona and travels southerly to a junction with US 18 and 52 approximately ½ mile south of Monona.

Due to transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑946‑0 (2)‑‑2M‑22 between Clayton County and the Iowa Department of Transportation approved February 21, 1980, that portion of Unsigned Iowa 946 from the east corporation line of Luana east to the west corporation line of Monona and from the south corporation line of Monona south to a junction with US 18 and 52 in the SW ¼ of Section 13‑T95N‑R5W should be deleted from the primary road system and reverted to the Clayton County secondary road system, effective March 1, 1980.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the description of Unsigned Iowa 946 in Clayton County, as referred to in the attached detailed description, be deleted from the primary road system.

Remove Unsigned Iowa 946 in Clayton County as follows:

Beginning at the east corporation line of the City of Luana, connecting with an unnamed street; thence northeasterly and southeasterly through Sections 9, 10, and 11‑T95N‑R5W to the west corporation line of the City of Monona connecting with an unnamed street.

Beginning again on the south corporation line of the City of Monona, connecting with an unnamed street; thence southerly through Section 13‑T95N‑R5W to a junction with US 18 and 52.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records Unsigned Iowa 946 in Clayton County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the old description of Unsigned Iowa 946 in Clayton County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.

Locate Unsigned Iowa 946 in Clayton County as follows:

Beginning at the east corporation line of the City of Luana, connecting with unnamed street; thence northeasterly and southeasterly through Sections 9, 10 and 11‑T95N‑R5W to the west corporation line of the City of Monona, connecting with unnamed street.

Beginning again on the south corporation line of the City of Monona, connecting with an unnamed street; thence southerly through Section 13-T95N‑R5W to a junction with US 18 and 52.

Unsigned Iowa 946 in Clayton County, Iowa should be officially included in the State Primary System.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

Beginning at the east corporation line of the City of Luana, connecting with unnamed street; thence northeasterly and southeasterly through Sections 9, 10, and 11‑T95N‑R5W to the west corporation line of the City of Monona connecting with unnamed street.

Beginning again on the south corporation line of the City of Monona, connecting with unnamed street; thence southerly approximately 0.32 miles connecting with US 18 and US 52.

NOW, THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Iowa Department of Transportation approve the location of Unsigned Iowa 946.

NOTE: To become effective upon adoption of this resolution.
